Comic Cover Art of the Week (July 10th, 2019)
Happy New Comic Book Day! Last week's entry probably took home the fabulous No-Prize for its record number of covers. But this one is no slouch. Every week offers its own surprises and we certainly have some gems.

Starting off with a debut issue, here's Invisible Woman #1 by Adam Hughes. This is a gorgeous cover by a fantastic artist. It didn't hurt that blue is my favorite color. Also, I'm curious about this book as it adds an element of espionage to Sue's backstory.

To the absolute shock of no one, Jenny Frison is back for another entry in this weekly series. Her variant for Wonder Woman #74 is another in her catalog of work that shows why she's so highly revered in comics.
This next set of covers features characters giving off eerie vibes. First there's Reaver #1 by Becky Cloonan. This is a new title from Image with an interesting premise. Then there's Supergirl #32 by Kaare Andrews. DC has been dropping plenty of star-studded variants for Year of the Villain, and this Brainiac cover doesn't disappoint.

David Mack makes an appearance with this variant to Fallen World #3. His covers are always eye-catchers and he continues that trend here.
These next covers feature two characters behaving rather differently toward each other. Symbiote Spider-Man #4 by Ron Lim depicts Spider-Man and Black Cat having crashed through a window while brawling. Then Detective Comics #1007 by Dan Quintana has The Spectre and Batman showing fans their best rooftop poses.
I had to wrap up this week with our favorite cat burglars. Here's Black Cat #2 by Mark Brooks and Catwoman #13 by Stanley "Artgerm" Lau. Bonus points to Brooks for the Carnage-ized variant, of course.
Now I want to hear from all of you. Which covers stood out to you this week? Which made you curious about a book you haven't read? Let me know below.
