Have you ever wondered what happens when crimes are committed in jail?  Well, thanks to the talents of John Arcudi, Toni Fejzula and Andre May, we'll find out with Dead Inside. This crime miniseries from Dark Horse Comics takes us to place we haven't seen much in comics.

The Jail Crimes Division of the Sheriff’s Office in Mariposa County investigates crimes committed inside county jails. With a limited number of suspects who can’t escape, these are usually easy cases to solve—but not this one. As Detective Linda Caruso gets closer to the heart of the case, she discovers uncomfortable truths about her friends, her job, and herself.

My take:I've always been a fan of crime stories, so this has my attention from the jump. Also, the setting is one that, to my knowledge, has not been explored in comics. I've read some of Arcudi's Hellboy work before, so I'm curious what he does with his own book. One of the aspects I'm most curious about is with the artists. I know of Fejzula's work on Veil, where he was the sole artist. So I want to see what May will add as the colorist.Dead Inside #1 drops December 21st, 2016.
