Toy Tease: Gears of War Play Arts -Kai-Marcus Fenix Preview

play-arts-kai-marcus-fenix-7Okay, so, I love Gears of War. And I love action figures. I know I just blew your minds, but stay with me here. I received an e-mail from Square-Enix about a blind box offering available via their online store. After looking into it, I had to see what action figures they had. And when Marcus Fenix popped into view, my reaction was "whoa."I've been chainsawing Locusts for years as Marcus (and the other COGs) and for him to get the Play Arts Kai treatment is dope. Square-Enix's figures are highly detailed and accurate. They're also expensive; rightfully so, of course. The Sergeant here is no exception on either point. He looks amazing and is priced at $149.99. Standing just over 11 inches, check out the war hero in all his beefy glory below.[gallery ids="616,617,618,619,620,621,623,624"]From Square-Enix:

Taking place on the planet Sera, Gears of War is an epic story depicting the fight for the fate of humanity. Now the protagonist, Marcus Fenix, joins the fray as a PLAY ARTS KAI action figure!
Marcus is a Sergeant with the COG and the leader of Delta squad, and established himself as a war hero during the Pendulum Wars. Our designers meticulously recreated his unique, brawny physique. In addition, his joints have a wide range of motion which allows the collector a great deal of freedom in posing Marcus and reenacting iconic in-game action poses.
The paintwork on his armor exhibits a worn patina and weathering, giving the viewer an image of the brutality of the battles in which he has fought. Marcus comes with the Lancer MK2 Assault Rifle, completing this package to bring this hero’s legend to life.
Figure includes display stand and interchangeable hand parts.
Figure Size: W 6.14" x D 4.3" x H 11.2" tall

What do you think of Marcus? Could he lead your action figure army against the Locust Horde? All he's missing is a Gnasher. Hard to say "we're getting gnashty" without a Gnasher. It's Gears Law.Play Arts Kai Marcus Fenix will be available at the end of Q1, 2017. Head over to the Square-Enix store for more, including pre-order information.
