Road to HeroesCon 2025

It’s officially HeroesCon week, people. That’s right, the 43rd edition of the Heroes Convention is almost upon us and fans will be flocking to Charlotte for all the fun. This will be my third consecutive year going and it seems to only be getting better. I had an absolute ball that first trip and HeroesCon instantly became one of my favorite comic conventions. Part of that, and its longevity and success over the years, is the focus on comic books.

I’ve mentioned in previous years’ coverage and recaps what makes this show elite. Based on what they’ve shown thus far, the Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find team looks to keep that going. From the lengthy and varied mix of creative guests to all the comic book vendors bringing books from the Golden Age to recent releases, this show packs a punch. Add in the panels, convention events and after hours programming and you’ll see why people constantly praise HeroesCon.

There’s also something to be said about building a family friendly environment. This isn’t exclusive to HeroesCon as I’ve been to many conventions of different scale and the ones that are welcoming to cosplayers and families are the strongest. Conventions help expand different fandoms and inspire younger generations to get involved. Allowing kids ages 16 and under to enter free with a paying adult is a huge move towards these goals and general inclusion. As someone who’s covered conventions and has cosplayed, it’s always nice to see young fans enjoying the spectacle. Bring your families!

As I continue my preparation, I’ll be looking to spread coverage across here, YouTube, Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), Blusky and as of recently, even Tiktok. I had no idea there was a such a vast comic book community on Tiktok.

HeroesCon 2025 runs June 20th-22nd in Charlotte, NC.
