Comic Creators At Emerald City Comic Con 2025
We’ve entered March and that means the comic convention season is well underway. One of the early, big events of the year is Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle. It’s a big con in a wonderful city. Being that it takes place in one of the creative hubs around the U.S., it makes sense it would draw the talent and crowd that it does. With that in mind, I wanted to highlight some of the comic creators who will be at the show this week.
Unfortunately, I won’t be at Emerald City Comic Con this year. However, when I’m considering what conventions to attend and planning my convention coverage, one of the areas I start with is the comics guest list. The writers, pencilers, inkers, colorists, letterers and painters that bring our beloved comics to life are a major draw.
Some of the people I always try to catch at conventions they’re at are Terry Dodson (Adventureman; Spider-Man), Dustin Nguyen (Descender; Detective Comics) and David Mack (Daredevil; Kabuki). They’re skilled storytellers and a pleasure to chat with.
Two of the often overlooked roles in making comics include inking and coloring. To help represent at Emerald City Comic Con are inker Randy Emberlin (Amazing Spider-Man) and colorist Alex Sinclair (Batman: Hush).
Although they don’t carry the same visual presence, the writers in the comic space won’t be left out. Some of them appearing at this convention are Kyle Higgins (Radiant Black) and James Tynion IV (Nice House on the Lake).
Beyond them, ECCC 2025 will be host to plenty of other talent throughout the weekend including Ryan Benjamin, Mirka Andolfo, Jae Lee, Anthony Fowler Jr., Aaron Kuder, Michael Walsh and more.
