Road to HeroesCon 2024

It’s time to celebrate the return of HeroesCon, comic fans and convention goers. The annual comic convention in Charlotte kicks off a weekend of fun and I will be there covering all of it.

The guest list is absolutely stacked, of course. Even before attending my first HeroesCon last year, I’ve seen the guests from previous years. The Heroes Aren’t Hard to Find team is always bringing in plenty of talent.

Some of the creators attending this year’s show are Darryl Banks, Rodney Barnes, John Beatty, Chris Claremont, Amanda Conner, Ron Garney, Larry Hama, Scott Hanna, Howard Mackie, Laura Martin, John Romita Jr., Jim Shooter, Brian Stelfreeze, Roy Thomas and Dexter Vines. And that’s just to name a few.

With all that talent and more appearing at HeroesCon, there’s one creator showing up who I’ve wanted to meet: Joshua Middleton. I’ve not seen him appear at a convention and the comic fan in me is looking forward to meeting and talking with him.

You can expect content throughout the weekend here, YouTube, Twitter/X and Instagram. That will include video coverage and daily photo galleries of sights on the show floor, comic vendors and the various comic books available, cosplayers, panels and guests. The schedule is loaded with comic book panels sure to excite fans and I’ll be attending some of them and sharing that info. Some of the topics to be covered include the coloring and lettering aspects of storytelling in comics as well as LGBTQ+ representation.
