New Comic Shop Visit: Coliseum of Comics in Orlando

A recent vacation took me to the state of Florida for the first time. And that, of course, meant checking out some comic shops. I was able to visit two shops in the Orlando area and add to my Comic Shop Tour. The first of which was Coliseum of Comics, specifically the Millenia location.

What stood out about this shop was the selection. Packed into that sizable space was enough to keep any fan hunting for comics, collected editions, supplies, games, or any other collectible. Coliseum of Comics was absolutely loaded with comics. This included a healthy mix of mainstream and indie books, along with plenty of boxes guaranteeing plenty for comic fans to dig through.

The massive wall, as you’ll see in the footage I captured, stretched nearly the length of the store. Several hundred books, from the Silver Age to more modern titles, were on display to light up any collector’s eyes. I don’t come across that many comics on walls in my travels. It’s a sight I typically only see at conventions.

If I ever find myself in Florida again, I would be interested in visiting some other Coliseum locations, to compare their stores, as well as other shops in general. This especially extends to shops with vast back issue sections. If you have any suggestions for some quality comic shops, feel free to share them.
