The Folio Society Takes Flight With Superman

The U.K. based publisher, The Folio Society, has added Superman to their list of anthology comic collections. Joining the likes of Spider-Man, Captain America, Batman and more, the hero of Krypton’s legacy is further cemented in this premier edition.

While it may be debatable whether Batman overtook Superman as the number one superhero around, it was only a matter of time before Big Blue got his own book. This one, though, displays DC’s return to their classic “bullet logo.”

As eluded to earlier, The Folio Society has published several Marvel books as well. I recently picked up the other three of the main six books: Doctor Strange, Hulk and Thor.

Beyond those, the other books available include ones focused on the Golden, Silver and Bronze Ages of Marvel and/or DC. There is also a Black Panther edition which spotlights the “A Nation Under Our Feet” arc. However, it differs in that it focuses on a complete story, has a unique design and doesn’t include a reprint comic.

Their appeal to me is fairly all-encompassing. Their design from the look and feel of the slipcases to the look of each book as well as the content and addition of the exclusive reprint issues make for a collectible worthy of any bookcase.

Head over to The Folio Society Superman page for more information on this book and here for the other comic related search results.
