The Avengers Return In A BIG Way
They did it. Those Merry Marvel Maniacs finally did it. While browsing the previous preorder solicitations, I noticed some interesting listings that led to a jaw-dropping moment: the Avengers Omnibus editions are back!
Yes, comic fans, reprints of the popular hardcover format featuring the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are up for preorder as you read this. With tentative release dates throughout August and September, Avengers’ fans can assemble all those early adventures right on their bookshelves. What a time to be a comic book fan.

Followers of my content will know I’ve used MyComicShop for a long time and have used them for preorders for several years now. On occasion, before I browse them thoroughly, I’ll search for any new omnibus preorders just to see what’s on deck. Little did I know what Marvel was cooking up.
On my list of most wanted collected editions, an Avengers omnibus set is right at the top. As a collector, I’m still hunting to complete the entire Avengers series. As a reader, these are exactly what I’ve wanted. I’d hoped to come across the first two books, at least. But being able to preorder all five?! Sign me up.

You can preorder books 2-5 on MyComicShop for $70. Volume 1 was recently removed from the listings. For an even bigger discount, head over to Discount Comic Book Service and you can find volumes 3-5 (just listed) for $54. While I’ll still maintain my typical preorders with MyComicShop, this increased discount was more than enough incentive to try DCBS for the first time.
When this post was originally drafted, DCBS hadn’t been updated to show the March preorders. Having never used them until this, I can’t speak on when they’re typically listed. My guess is a few days into the new month. MyComicShop typically updates for the next month’s previews a day or two after the previous deadline. And I’d wager most other online based preorder systems fall within the same time period as both of them.
