Baltimore Comic Con's Guest List Was Stacked

DISCLAIMER: This post was intended to go live BEFORE Baltimore Comic Con. That was back in October and here we are. Everyone, shrug in unison.

The final part of the year is upon us, which means college football, candy corn, and of course, comic conventions. I've laid out some of those in this mini calendar and discussed the return of conventions here. Doing some typical comic con browsing (as you do), I came across Baltimore Comic Con's website and noticed how deep their guest list ran. Being more focused on the comic side of these shows, the comic guests have been the big incentive for which conventions I've attended in the past.

With that said, I wanted to highlight some of the creators who were in attendance at this year's show. And there's no chance I was starting this with none other than Chris Bachalo (X-Men). This absolute champ of an artist has been one of my favorites for years. Even two years removed from it, it still feels surreal I got to finally meet him at ACE Comic Con 2019.

Any Chris Bachalo fan will also know the name Tim Townsend (X-Men). Another champ in the world of comics and frequent collaborator of Bachalo for many years. His inks have been seen on many Marvel works for nearly 30 years. Tim Townsend is a personal draw (hence his inclusion here) and one that tempted me to head to Baltimore. You can bet that if I did, I'm taking those same issues shown above to have him add his name.

While those two may be some strong personal headliners by themselves, they are far from all the show has on deck. Enter Jamal Igle (Supergirl) and Mark Waid (Daredevil). Two talented creators who've built a long list of credits.

Oh, we're far from done, friends. The people behind Baltimore Comic Con also managed to pull in Christopher Priest (Black Panther), Amy Reeder (Rocket Girl), Brian Stelfreeze (Black Panther), Afua Richardson (Genius), Cliff Chiang (Paper Girls), Frank Cho (Wonder Woman) and Mark Morales (Avengers), among many others. Check out the list below.

I absolutely should've gone to Baltimore Comic Con. I'm not saying I would destroy the time stream by going back in time and hitting the convention, I'm just saying I wouldn't NOT go back in time, given the opportunity. Also possibly destroying the time stream in the process. But that's neither here nor there.

Maybe next year, Baltimore. If you went to Baltimore Comic Con, share your thoughts on the show. I want to hear what you liked and disliked, what you picked up, which creators you met, all of it.
