Comic Conventions and Shows on Deck for 2021

Conventions are back! Well, some are still scheduled, anyway. We saw the impact COVID had on shows in 2020 and continues to have even as we hit the midway point of 2021. Many people have questioned the future of the various nerdy shows around the globe citing the obvious health concerns and the rise of virtual events. I've covered this topic on my channel in several videos with considerations for realistic concerns and also hope and optimism.

Those feelings carry weight as we've already seen smaller cons held in different parts of the U.S. For the comic book fans reading this, you will likely have seen or heard about these as they're less complex in nature and require fewer resources.

Returning to that hope and optimism, here is a tentative list covering conventions and shows scheduled through the end of the year. Stay tuned to my events page as it will be updated to include these shows along with ones for early 2022. Don't hesitate to reach out if you know of other events I have missed and I will gladly add them.

Anime Expo Lite: July 3-4 (virtual)
San Diego Comic-Con: July 21-23 (virtual)
Terrificon: July 30-August 1
Gamescom: August 25-27 (virtual)
DragonCon: September 2-6
Long Beach Comic Con: September 4-5
Cincinatti Comic Expo: September 17-19
New York Comic Con: October 7-10
Baltimore Comic Con: October 22-24
Emerald City Comicon: December 2-5
Los Angeles Comic Con: December 3-5
C2E2 (Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo): December 10-12

While I miss conventions and would love to return to bigger shows myself someday, the pandemic is still ongoing. I will never advocate for disregarding health concerns. Maintain precautions, stay safe and have fun.
