Toy Tease: Figma Samus Aran: Prime 3 Ver. (Metroid Prime 3: Corruption) Preview

Samus Aran, our favorite bounty hunter and video game queen, has returned. From the popular, yet slightly dormant, series Metroid comes a new Figma action figure based on her appearance in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. We were previously given a version of her based on Metroid: Other M. But that's a game many fans reluctantly acknowledge.[gallery ids="1159,1181" type="rectangular"]Regardless of the quality of that game, the figure looked nice. There are obvious differences in design between the two. One of those being the shading. The version from Other M is lighter than her Prime 3: Corruption counterpart. From the Nintendo Wii exclusive game "Metroid Prime 3: Corruption" comes a figma of the main character, Samus Aran!

• Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
• A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
• The figma includes a morph ball part as well as interchangeable parts for her arm cannon based on when she fires missiles.
• Alternate hand parts included a clenched fist, open hand, hand for holding items and the classic thumbs-up hand.
• The visor of her mask as well as the areas on her hands, hips and legs make use of translucent parts for improved detail.
• An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

Similar to the Person 5 Joker figure, there's an order stop in place for Samus. That should lift, provided more are available. And I hope it is, because she looks slick. Posing her right next to her Figma twin on my shelf would look nice. This would honestly be a nice addition to any collection. This is especially true with the recent release of Metroid: Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS, which I'm currently playing. This game is a remake of the Game Boy classic Metroid II: Return of Samus.Another October release, Figma Samus Aran: Prime 3 ver. will cost you ¥7,222, or $66.26.
